ıStrictly speaking, where sealed with an impeller joint ring, the stub shaft and the impeller key do not normally come into contact with the product
during operation, but such contact is likely during seal replacement, for example.
²We shall advise customers in circumstances where a mechanical seal is supplied whose wetted metal parts are not of stainless steel 316 (1.4401).
Alloys such as Carpenter (Alloy 20Cb-3), Hastelloy (Alloy C-276) and Monel (Alloy 400) are available on request.
