Hastelloy® centrifugal pumps
Hastelloy for outstanding corrosion resistance
Hastelloy is known as a 'superalloy'
or 'high-performance alloy'.
MDM has manufactured
pumps in Hastelloy C-22®, which is a versatile
nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy, with outstanding resistance
to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.
Hastelloy centrifugal pump
for hygienic applications
All wetted metal parts of the
centrifugal pump are machined from Hastelloy solid bar (ie
pump cover, impeller, impeller locknut, impeller key, pump stub-shaft, and housing
plate). The pump is fitted with a mechanical seal with Hastelloy wetted
metal parts.
The non-wetted metal parts
of the pump head are manufactured from stainless steel 316L.
As an option the pump
can be supplied with an internal surface finish of 0.5µmRa (including the
wetted metal parts of the mechanical seal).
® Hastelloy and C-22 are the registered trade marks of

APPLICATIONS
ideally suited for industries:
pharmaceutical
|
Available as either:
|
|
Flooded suction pump (top right), which is used
for applications where the pump is flooded with liquid, for example a
delivery pump.
Air Separator ('AS') pump (right),
which is designed to handle a mixture of air and liquid, eg for
emptying product from road tankers, or for scavenging of vessels and
pipelines in a CIP (Cleaning In Place) system. For applications where
the liquid level is below the inlet of the pump, a liquid reservoir
can be supplied to make the 'AS' pump self-priming.
